Getting To Subic - Subic Olongapo Philippines
Domestic Travelers: Limited domestic service is available from Manila.
Charter service is available from a number of charter airlines in Subic and Manila. Seaplane can be arranged with a pickup in Manila and other parts of the Philippines. (See further information about Subic Seaplane in attractions section). Air travel from Some of the islands in the Philippines to Diosdado Macapagal International airport (DMIA) CSEZ Angeles City is possible. From there land transfers are available.
Daily bus service is provided from the Manila area by two Bus lines. Victory Liner: Frequent at least hourly service from 4 am to 6pm from Pasay city, Kalookan, Sampaloc, and Cubao. Non express service is also available at other times. Olongapo terminal located at the APO monument. Saulog transit: hourly service from 2am to 2 p.m. departing from Cavite city. Olongapo Terminal is behind the city mall at the main gate SBF.
Currently ferry service from Manila’s CCP bay terminal exists to Orion, Bataan. Prior booking for land transfer is recommended with Interisland tours and Travel. A cruise ship terminal is under construction with plans for cruise lines to use Subic Bay as a port destination. This new terminal may draw additional ferry services also.
Driving To Subic
From Manila and points south:
Depending on traffic conditions the drive from Manila will take about three hours to get to the SBF area. Take the Northern Expressway to City of San Fernando exit.( or SCTex exit see below) Follow the signs in direction of Olongapo. Depending on your final destination take the Tipo-Subic expressway to go to SBF, Barrio Barretto and points north. Continue on the National highway for points within Olongapo City.
The Subic-Clark-Tarlac expressway (SCTex) is almost finish, when completed the expressway will move Subic Bay to just 30 minutes from the Clark area. Subic Bay gains an additional International airport, one which is growing rapidly into the preferred gateway into the Philippines. Subic Bay and Angeles City will be able to share attractions. Manila also becomes much closer about an hour and 45 minutes. . When open travelers from Manila Should continue pass the San Fernando exit to the SCTex exit just passsed Dau about 20 minutes further., take the SCTex towards Subic/Olongapo. the SCTex ends at the Tipo-Subic expressway.
Take the National highway south to Olongapo.
From Angeles city and points North.
Take the northern expressway south to San Fernando( or SCTex when openes) then follow directions from Manila.
